FAQ’s

Q: Is there a dress-code? A: Yes! As this is a ball, the dress code is formal-wear OR Cosplay.

Q: I don’t have a costume. Can I rent one at the event? A: There won’t be ready-to-wear costumes at the event, however, go message DPS Photography on our socials or via email to get to know about our costume rentals.

Q: Can l wear a closet cosplay to the ball?
A: imagine that the character you’re cosplaying is attending a ball.If your closer cosplay fits this scenario,then yes!
e.g. the character wearing a Lolita dress is considered appropriate,e.g. the character in PJ’s or t-shirt and sandals is considered inappropriate.

Q: Is there an age restriction for the event? A: Yes, the event is for ages 13+.

Q: Will there be photography? Can I take photos? A: You’re welcome to bring your camera in for personal use, however the use of tripods and bright flash strobes aren’t allowed without a media exemption. (the rule is – if you can carry it by hand, and it’s not for commercial use, then it’s allowed!)

Q: Can l go straight to the event without a booking?
A: We strongly recommend booking your ticket beforehand, as tickets will be on sale until we reach the max number we can cater.

Q: Will there be food and drinks?
A: There won’t be proper meals but fingers foods and fruit cordial are included in your ticket.There’ll be mock-tails for sale but not foods, so if you’re a big eater,having some food beforehand may be a good idea.

Q: Can l bring outside foods and drinks?
A: taking smells and rubbish disposal problems into consideration, sadly outside foods and drinks will not be allowed at the event.

Q: Do l have to bring my invitation?
A: Absolutely not! The invitation is just a keepsake for being fancy. You will be asked for your registration name and email at the door.

Q: Can l still cancel my ticket?
A: Absolutely! Full refunds can be issued before your physical invitations are sent out. Once they are though, any cancellations will incur a $20 fee to cover postage and production costs.If you manage to pass your ticket onto someone else, PLEASE LET US KNOW their name and contact email, as this will be needed at entry. We may ask to see their lD.

Q: What if l’m late?
A: Our NPC greeting time is 5pm-5:30pm so if you unfortunately arrive after that,we will still let you in, but you will miss out on NPC interactions if you booked the VlP ticket,

Q: There is someone l feel uncomfortable around at the ball, what should l do?
A: lf you feel that anyone is mistreating you or are behaving inappropriately, let any of our staff know, and they will act IMMEDIATELY.
The person will be warned once, then removed from the event.

Q: Can l store my bag somewhere?
A: Please hang on to your bags and belongings at all times! Unfortunately we weren’t able to provide any baggage solutions this time round.

Q: Will it be cold?
A: We’ll make sure it’s warm.
